Notice for CoEJ Presidential elections 2024-2027

In accordance with clause 18.1 of the Constitution, notice is hereby given inviting written nominations for candidate(s) for the office of the President to serve for the term 2024 – 2027.
Kindly note the following clause when submitting nominations:
18.2 Any Constituent Member can be nominated by a Member Jamaat as a candidate for the post of President of CoEJ by sending written nomination to the Electoral Commissioner.
Any nomination shall be accompanied by a written communication from the Constituent Member nominated signifying his consent to such nomination.
The nomination shall also be accompanied by written confirmation from the Member Jamaat that the nominated person is a Constituent Member and if the nomination is not accompanied by such confirmation then the Electoral Commissioner shall request the Secretary General to obtain written confirmation from the Member Jamaat that the candidate is its Constituent member.
In addition, the candidate will confirm that he/she has been eligible to be a Constituent Member for the period of 24 months preceding their nomination of either a Member Jamaat or in aggregate Member Jamaats.
All nominations must be sent in writing and received within 30 days of this notice. Nominations are preferably sent via email to electoral.commissioner@oldcoejorg.ecnet.dev with the subject heading: Nomination for post of CoEJ President: 2024-2027.

(Update: 14 July 2024) The deadline to submit nominations has been extended to Thursday 15th August. Anything received after this date will not count.
