CoEJ presents: Muharram Creative writing contest
We are excited to announce a special Muharram contest for our young members, focusing on the theme “How Karbala Inspires Me.” This contest is a wonderful opportunity for children to reflect on the significance of Karbala and express their thoughts creatively.
How to participate
- Write a short poem or presentation based on the theme. Be as creative as you like!
- Record yourself presenting it. Either a video of yourself, or a voiceover to some slides.
- Submit your video and script to secretariat@oldcoejorg.ecnet.dev
- In your email specify the following: Your name, category, Jamaat, Whether you consent with your submission being shared on CoEJ/Jamaat social media (Yes/No)
Categories
- Key Stage 1 (5-7 years)
- Key Stage 2 (7-11 years)
- Key Stage 3 (11-14 years)
Deadline
- The deadline is 5th September
- Winners announced on Eid e Zahra
Rules and Guidelines
- Theme: How Karbala Inspires
- Format: You can present the video however you like, but it must be accompanied with the script.
- Word limit: 500, Maximum Video length: 3 minutes
- Plagiarism or use of 3rd party software is not permitted
Judging
The entries will be judged by a panel. They will be looking at the creativity, relevance to the theme and style of presentation. Prizes will be awarded!
