The Council of European Jamaats and Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Shia Europe have written a letter which outlines our position on the Assisted Dying bill, which will be debated on Friday, 29th November 2024.
The Bill is indeed a pivotal moment for the UK. The potential passage of it poses a direct challenge to the values we hold dearly with regards to the sanctity of life.
It goes against our core beliefs that life is sacred and only the Almighty determines life and death.
Let’s stand together to protect the sanctity of life and advocate for compassionate care over assisted dying.
