“Know thyself, and thou shalt know God.” – Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (A)
This November 2024, CoEJ hosted its highly anticipated Leadership Development Programme (LDP) over two transformative weekends, bringing together participants from various Jamaats for an intensive course aimed at self-discovery and growth.
Interactive activities and group discussions were integral to both weekends, fostering an engaging and collaborative environment. Participants were actively involved in shaping their learning journey, making the programme dynamic and impactful.
Beyond the workshops, the participants enjoyed the opportunity to expand their networks and form meaningful friendships across various jamaats.
Weekend One
The journey began on Saturday 2nd November with a Quranic reflection and warm welcome. After an introduction, the day focused on understanding the self and individual personalities. Participants explored the power of diversity, learning how differences can empower them. Through a variety of tools and strategies, they then embarked on a journey to reflect on their true potential, purpose and growth.
Weekend Two
The second weekend delved deeper into values in society, relationships, and communication skills. Sessions highlighted the importance of strong interpersonal skills and how they align with effective leadership and collaboration.
We rounded things off with a closing circle and a dua. With the participants fully energised, we hope and pray that the learning taken from this course will have an impact on their behaviours and will be felt in a positive way by their relationships, by the community and ultimately help them connect better with Allah (swt).
