Notification of the Results of the
CoEJ Presidential Election, Term 2024-2027

Pursuant to Clause 18.3 of the CoEJ Constitution, and following the conclusion of the
electoral process, I am pleased to formally announce the results of the election for the
President of the Council of European Jamaats, Term 2024-2027.
The votes from all participating Member Jamaats have been successfully collated. I can
confirm that Arifali Hirji has received the highest number of votes, in accordance with the
formula stipulated in Clause 19.2, and has been duly elected as the President of CoEJ for
the upcoming term.
A detailed breakdown of the election results is appended to this notice for your reference. A
broader report on the Presidential Election will be presented at the upcoming CoEJ
Conference in October.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers, returning officers, and
electoral commissioners across the Member Jamaats who worked tirelessly to ensure the
smooth and efficient administration of this election. Your dedication, time, and effort were
instrumental in upholding the integrity of the electoral process, and I am deeply appreciative
of your contributions.
I also wish to commend both candidates for their unwavering commitment to CoEJ and the
energy invested in their respective campaigns. Both have demonstrated a remarkable
dedication to our community and its future. This election, while a moment of choice, has also
been an opportunity to celebrate the wealth of talent within our European community.
As we move forward, I would like to take this moment to reaffirm the importance of unity and
brotherhood. Regardless of the outcome, we remain one united community, bound together
by our common values and vision for a prosperous and harmonious future. Let us continue
to work together in the spirit of collaboration and mutual respect, upholding the bonds that
make us strong.
